'central planning' --i.e The Soviet Union.

Many aspects of teh New Deal
were actually modelled on
Stalin's New Economic Policies
of the late 20's.

We NOW know the glowing
reports of Soviet progress
from the likes of Walter Duranty
of the New York Times ---were wrong.

We ALSO NOW KNOW
Duranty -consciously or not
-failed to alert the world
to the ongoing class and political
extermination pogroms underway
at that time.

We NOW KNOW --

30 million human beings were
put to death.

Duranty went on to win
the Pulitzer Prize.

Killing fields are being
uncovered all across the
old Soviet Union to this day.

FINALLY --

one and all can agree
Roosevelt's finest hour
was as a war President --

-a leader who unflinchingly
saw the conflict through to its
victorious end.
