Another curious bit is a few white Lefties and females in the media who have never been in a fight or know how to fight claiming the stomping was of little consequence because the "attackers were wearing soft white tennis shoes" and "it's not like the victim was really hurt". (The victim was told to stay in the hospital overnight, he had a special ceremony he wanted to go to against doctors advice. His family, lacking health insurance, had 12,000 in bills from the neurological care, emergency care, and tests and were concerned about their ability to pay for a hospital bed)

The facts are that military combat instructors say that the "stomp" has 6-7 times more power than a full punch. In hand to hand training or reality, the killing or disabling blows focus in knocking a person down and delivering the final blow to the head, face, or throat. Preferable with a weapon, if none, then a foot, then an elbow, then a knee, and only if the other methods cant be used - a fist or open hand.

And those blows make little difference in the power applied if delivered barefoot, with "soft shoes", or with hobnailed storm trooper boots. A person who is a lawyer commenting on this remembered his city obtained convictions of 5 blacks who stomped another dug dealer to death in part from sneaker marks on the victims head and face and blood tracks the sneaker soles made leading away

The 6 black athletes had at least 4 members with criminal records for violent crimes. One was convicted of a past arson. One, whose records are sealed, is purportedly convicted of sexual assault on a 12-year old girl when he was younger. But because they were "great athletes" that made for a winning football team, black and white boosters, the local courts, coaches - all tried to ensure they remained in school.

Remember it wasn't just about the "lack of justice " for the "innocent 6", as black and white activists call them, the investigation as to who burned down half the high school continues...and two of the "Jena 6" are suspects. And investigations as to who was making death threats at the school and phoning the kid and the "3 noose hangers" with similar threats continue. And threats blacks made to other whites at school that if they showed up, they would die (reportedly invoving 2 of the 6 black athletes that a local minister said were allowed to conduct "a reign of terror" against schoolmates...
And one of the Jena 6 not in jail is suspect in 2 other violent assaults, and has convictions for 4 other significant crimes as a juvie.

Finally, the actions of the local DA make a lot more sense if it is true, as implied, that the only way to get a juvie on a violent rampage in the adult system better able to handle him was by overcharging the crime, then dropping charges in his racial attacks down to more sensible charges of aggravated battery, conspiracy to commit battery. The ringleader he wanted, Mychal Bell, was free at the time and school not notified by the juvenile system despite charges of two other violent assaults. And ability to more freely interrogate and prosecute the other 5 thugs in the adult system did offer the potential of ending the racial attacks and arson through intimidation. This was also only one week after one white kid could have been killed in a race-related gang stomping by strong athletes, an incident involving a struggle for a gun betwen a white kid and 2 of the Jena 6, and with half the high school burned and smoking......

I think once the details are fairly presented, the black leaders and local black activists will look like the bigoted assholes they were in the Lacrosse case. The media will again be exposed for pursuing their agenda and approved liberal narrative, not reporting on the facts. The town will be faulted for both enabling the black thugs to keep playing football as well as nailing them more harshly than whites because they had past extensive criminal history. The arson of the HS will continue to be investigated. Guilty white liberals and academics will again have their vapid "white oppressor" denunciations reposted and ridiculed - as with the Lacrosse case and dozens of others - when facts are better known.

I think that the vice pricipals at the school need to do something with the whiye kids that started all of this in the first place. I dont think that the 6 people should go to jail for as many years as they said they would. I also dont think its right for them to charge the 16 year old as an adult. He still has his whole life ahead of him. The white kids shouldnt have never hung those nooses up on the trees & none of this would of started. Finally.. they make a big stink about how the Duke Lacross case got more press.. but um.. The Duke Lacross players were innocent.. they were accused or a rape that didn't happen. No amount of jumping up and down and scremaing is going to change the fact that six men beat another man and put him in the hospital. One of the perpetrators has been arrested 5 times already for assault and SHOULD go to jail. (yes.. 22 years is too extreme, but he'll probably serve about 1)

I dont know how many of you know this but that video is NOT true (atleast parts of it.) the story about that Man and his shotgun, and the poor teens, thats not what really happened!!!! I know for a fact!! The men had just got out of his truck to go in the store, when one of the teen yelled "hey man we got action." The men heard them then ran to get in his truck to leave. when the 3 boys pulled him out of his truck and started beating him. once he was down one of the boys ran and GOT the shotgun out of the men's truck. pulled it on him, then ran off. The men never pulled a gun on then, never layed a hand on them, and didnt do or say anything to make that happen, but it did. The story they are telling was in a police report, but there was others stating the truth, but you dont see them on here.... do you? also, the party where a black boy was beat up by white boys. It was a girl invitation only birthday party, when people who was not invited broken, and start touble they was asked to leave, but they couldnt go with out starting fights with anyone around. It was so bad that they had to call the cops, and the girls birthday party lasted only about 2hrs. Th socail event that Barker attend was a ring ceremony, where u sit in chairs, then walk up and get your class ring, then sit back down. justin wouldnt have made it up the stairs if his mom was there to help him. He is still having inturnal problems today because of December 4, 2006.

This incident has forced black america to wake up and realize that we are still referred to as "those people". I was very proud of the poeple that marched for the Jena 6. The only way injustices as this will discontinue to occur is when we empower ourselves by coming together as one. This means adopting our African Proverb of "It takes a village to raise a child". We need to step up to the plate as a people and empower our children through morals, values, and a good education. During the era of the Civil Rights movement our trailblazers strived for equality especially with education. If there was no one around who could've possibly helped this student how could 17 witnesses be called including three white teachers and one of the student who originally hung the noose. How did the fight end? They just beat him until they were tired, come on now, youre smarter than that...

This event did not take place in some back alley at three in the morning or under the bleachers before school or in the ditches of some country road. It happened at school where there were personnel, administrators and others students present.

Additionally commondreams.org reports “On Monday, December 4, at Jena High, a white student - who allegedly had been making racial taunts, including calling African American students “niggers” while supporting the students who hung the nooses and who beat up the black student at the off-campus party - was knocked down, punched and kicked by black students. The white victim was taken to the hospital treated and released. He attended a social function that evening.”

Again, no one is saying that the boys should not have been punished but 20 years to life is excessive. Attempted murder chargers were excessive. If, these charges are the norm everyone in all the preceeding events should have been similarly charged, but they weren't.

This is why I am supporting the Jena 6. Not because I believe they don't deserve a consequence for the beating of the white student. It is because the charges and sentence for them was inconsistent from what whites were getting for violent acts against blacks. In those cases the whites were either not charges at all or were given a probation. How can you call a tennis shoe a deadly weapon and not consider a beer bottle to also be a deadly weapon? And yet the white man who hit the black students with a beer bottle was given probation. The white boy who threatened 3 blacks with a shotgun received no sentence. Instead the black student who wrestled the gun away from him was charged with stealing the gun!
Fighting is wrong, and what the Jena 6 did was wrong. But they have already been punished with more jail time then any of the whites had recieved. When the justice system is consistently biased against a people, eventually those people will take justice into their own hands. That doesnt make it right, but neither is us (American) allowing an unjust system to exist. We should all be protesting this.

Please realize that the thousands who marched in Jena didn’t do so because Sharpton or Jackson brainwashed them to do. An unequal justice system exists in this country and it’s about time that a light shines on this unspoken truth. The world watched during the Hurricane Katrina tragedy and saw how Blacks and Whites are treated differently in this country. A double standard exists and a change needs to take place!!!!

Given the biased racist nature of the DA, Michael Bell prior convictions cannot be held against him. Who knows the legitimacy of the prior convictions?

Please understand that non one is saying that a punishment should not have occured to the boys who jumped Barker, but 20 years to life...its not justice.

Justin Barker did not deserve to be jumped (violence is wrong) but please realize that he wasn’t innocent.He taunted the Black students for only God knows how long.

All of this talk about 6 to 1 is ridiculous. Do you really think that in such a racially charged town that other whites would just sit there and let a white get beat???? Views of this case are so distorted it’s a shame.

It is some very understanding people, some of them are a little ignorant, and needs to keep their commnets to theirselves, because this is a very serious trial, and honestly after the trial they need to do something about the school superintendant and school board. As for the african american parents they should have tried to get everyone on their side, hired someone out of the state or anything to have their sons' a fair trial. The african american society needs to be more involved, or maybe Jena, La aren't letting them get more involved; who knows. If those african american boys get 15 to life, the cauisan boy or boys feel they can get away with anything. It is strange because of the color of your skin you get treated differently, it is prety sad how people in america thinks. I hope they don't they will have it like slavery, because we got too many cultures around in america. Think about it the cauisin people against-african americans, mexicans, asisians, somalians, iranians just to name a few. We just want to live equally not differently.
