Dude, did you know that Hillary and Obama have "support from a dictator"?

Really?

Yeah, I heard it on Fox News. Apparently they have "Fidel Castro's support".

And just like that, the lie becomes fact. Or close enough. This clip was missing the key part that makes videos on this website so great: facts to go along with the lies/distortions.

Here's what Castro actually wrote:

"Today, talk is about the seemingly invincible ticket that might be created with Hillary for President and Obama for Vice President. Both of them feel the sacred duty of demanding 'a democratic government in Cuba'. They are not making politics: they are playing a game of cards on a Sunday afternoon."

Fox has honed in on the very best way to get people to believe whatever you want. Loudly say things that are just close enough to facts so that you can't be sued for slander, and shoot out talking points and buzzwords as quickly as you can, before anyone has a chance to think about what actually happened.

Conservatives have been able to dominate TV as a "news" medium because:
1. If you can yell loud enough, your opponent will never be heard, but you can still say you invited them on your show.
2. You never need to cite sources.

I have no video editing skills, but could someone please re-edit this clip to show Castro's actual words?

Don't you think that OBAMA was the one who first injected Castro into the race when he said back in September that he would open a dialogue with the man if elected?

Brits Believe Government Using Global Warming Hysteria to Raise Taxes

If a survey found that the overwhelming majority of Americans believe lawmakers are using global warming hysteria to raise taxes, would the climate change obsessed media report it?

Highly doubtful, wouldn't you agree?

Well, Britain's Daily Mail published an article Monday that seems quite unlikely any major U.S. press outlet would dare cover for fear of contradicting the media meme of the debate being over concerning this controversial issue (emphasis added throughout, h/t Benny Peiser):

Nearly two-thirds of the public believe ministers are using environmental fears as an excuse to raise tax revenue, according to a poll.

And research suggests their cynicism is justified - with green taxes raking in £10 billion more for the Treasury than it would cost to offset the entire UK's carbon footprint.

Can you imagine Katie, Charlie, or Brian doing such a report? Regardless, the article continued:

A survey carried out by YouGov for the TPA found that only a fifth of people thought politicians were genuinely trying to change behaviours using the tax system. In contrast, 63% believed they were using the issue as an excuse to pull in more cash.

Nearly four-fifths voiced opposition to the so-called "pay as you throw" schemes floated by the Government to encourage recycling - despite previous surveys indicating a majority backed the idea.

Furthermore, could you imagine any major American press outlet reporting that the public had actually been overtaxed:

Using previous international research into climate change, the report estimated that covering the social cost of carbon emissions would have cost £11.7 billion in 2005.

But receipts from green taxes such as fuel duty, road tax and the Climate Change Levy totalled £21.9 billion. On average every household in the UK paid £400 more in levies than it cost to cover their own footprint, the TPA claimed.

It's all about the money, folks. And, our friends across the Pond know it.

In addition to the USHCN, Lawrimore said the center uses numerous sources to monitor climate, including other surface temperature stations, satellites and ocean buoys.

"We don't rely on a single network or a single set of stations to understand how the climate is varying and changing."

Of course I didn't write that article, it was clearly written by a reporter. I copied it from the newsbusters.org web site, I couldn't find a current topic about global warming, so I posted it under here. Funny how the liberal media won't talk about that report.

For a weatherman who has spent most of his career in front of a TV camera or radio microphone, Anthony Watts was a little concerned about speaking in front of dozens of scientists.

"Although I'm great at giving a weather forecast, I'm a little rusty giving a scientific presentation," Watts said Friday.

During a scientific workshop this week in Boulder, Colo., Watts presented his research on hundreds of weather stations used to help monitor the nation's climate.

The preliminary results show Watts and his volunteers have surveyed about a quarter of the 1,221 stations making up the U.S. Historical Climatology Network. Of those, more than half appear to fall short of federal guidelines for optimum placement.

Some examples include weather stations placed near sewage treatment plants, parking lots, and near cars, buildings and air-conditioners — all artificial heat sources which could affect temperature records.

Watts was surprised at how well his work was received after his 15-minute presentation.

"I was very, very worried that I would
be seen as an outsider with a heretical idea," Watts said during a telephone interview Wednesday.

interestingly enough, the "reporters" at faux news don't seem to have a problem with their tin idol in the white house putting us trillions of dollars in debt with COMMUNIST china. then again we are getting something out of that deal, contaminated toothpaste and toys for our kids with lead paint on them
