Wow, look at this new Fred Thompson ad I just came across! Amazing, I wouldn't expect such honesty from 'Ole Frederick Of Hollywood, but I gotta give him credit.

At least he is being honest about his wilingness to defend asbestos producers against those they sickened. As a 17-year lobbyist in Washington, we can probably expect many more ads just like this, and I for one am looking forward to his Gordon Gekkoesque honesty.

So thank you Senator Thompson!

And if you're listening, can you make the next ad about your client The Tennessee Savings and Loan League, you know the guys on whose behalf you lobbied for deregulation, which eventually led to "widespread fraud and mismanagment" and a $150 billion taxpayer bailout of the industry?

I think that would be a cool topic for the next one.

UPDATE: The more this guy talks the more I like him! Fred just tells it like it is. For example, here I thought bin Laden was a guy who killed 3,000 Americans on 9/11, yet it turns out, he is "more symbolism than anything else."

Wow, this guy is good at helping the families of victims feel better too! Is there anything he can't do?
