It has never mattered to me what my race has decided to call themselves as opposed to what the whites elect to call us. We use to call ourselves afro-american then black and then african-americans. I could do without the lables but I can live with these three rather than negro, colored or nigger which is what many whites want to call us just like the good old days or nowadays.
