I'm not sure why you labled him as a Bush Administration attorney. Atchison was actually hired as an assistant U.S. Attorney, during the Clinton administration. He was then retained by the Bush appointee, as most assistant U.S. attorneys are from administration to administration. They fact that he was kept on by both administrations indicates he probably does't have any strong political leanings either way.

Not that that will matter to people trying to make political hay out of this tragic and horrible event.
