Republicans right now are debating a silly resolution to attack Moveon.org. It is their usual attempt to hold shiny objects up to the adoring eyes of their base and the Beltway media, which sadly works way too often.
Leading the charge is Sen. John Box Turtle Cornyn, who won't condemn House Minority Leader Crying John Boehner's claim that we're paying a "small price" in Iraq.
Cornyn, like Boehner, dodged military service when he had the chance, which is a real shocker since finding a GOP elected representative or pundit who actually fought in a war is much like finding underwear on Britney Spears.
Not a normal event, to be kind.
Moveon reminds us of Boehner's remark, but the ad can't get into the attacks on John Kerry, the attacks on Max Cleland, the vote against giving troops rest-time yesterday and calling it "demeaning," votes against body armor, allowing Halliburton to provide our troops with tainted water that sickens them and the panoply of ways the GOP proves soldiers are merely a useful prop to be disregarded when inconvenient.
Yet, this ad is a good step in the right direction of pointing out who really hates the troops.

Let me save all you blind conservatives the trouble. Overwhelmingly Democratic. Gee, what a shocker. (rolling eyes)
By every measure imaginable, it's crystal clear that Democrats, (liberals, progressives) are infinitely more patriotic and love their country enough to challenge it to be faithful to the ideals of the founding fathers.
