Great bumper sticker! That kid deserved it. It is easy after the fact to say he did not have a weapon, he was no danger,etc.

The public forum had concluded. He ran up to the mic and irrationally accused Kerry of throwing the 2004 presidential election. They turned off his mic. He missed the hint. They asked him to leave. He refused to leave. They pointed him toward the door. He ran toward the stage with a U.S. Senator standing on it. They tried to force him out. He resisted. They warned him. He resisted. They tased him. He whined for the cameras like a baby.
He is not some great civil rights martyr. The security guards told him to stop or he would be tasered. He failed to stop. The guards had no idea whether or not he had a weapon or what his intentions were. The guards used a taser. From personal experience it is often a question of taser the guy after warning him and safely return home to your own wife and children. Or give the irrational acting guy who is resisting arrest the benefit of the doubt and be that one in a thousand officer who doesn’t return home safely. If you resist arrest or endanger others you forfeit your own personal comfort.

50,000 volts that can kill someone for what? They were security guards not police. He never should have been arrested for speaking out at a public event; remember that wrinkled old parchment called the constitution? He had no weapon and was no danger to anyone. Another example of law enforcement/security brutalizing someone for nothing.

I don't care for John Kerry but I think Andrew was entirely disrespectful toward him and then resisting arrest? Some of the edited videos I have seen cut out the parts where Andrew is trying to run away. The bro got tased and he deserved it.

People who watched the video clip with the CLEAR view of Andrew Mayer (cnn showed the unclear view) saw:
1-Him being warned,turning on his stomach to be handcuffed.
2-He realized that now he really WAS going to be arrested because before he was just making a scene and thought he would be let off.
3- Flipped around and wanted to walk away. At that point HE does not make that choice. Try that with any cop trying to arrest you and you WILL be tased and charged for resisting arrest!
4- THEN he was tased!

The bumper sticker is classic as it shows how stupid people can be thinking that, at that point of arrest, can try and talk police out of not arresting them. And maybe it will work especially if they mention them as "BRO"?!?!
