The media has caused a controversey over something that shouldn't be. SHould the six boys have been tried as adults? NO. SHould they have been tried for second degree attempted murder? NO. But five of the six are out of juvy, while mychal bell remains because he broke his probation by recieving another arrest. They beat the other student unconsciouss and then had to be pulled off because they didnt stop. He then had to be carried to the hospital and had to be treated. The nooses were stupid and the suspensions warrented for the students who put them there, the one that was ganged up on and beat unconsciouss was not one of those students. The town of Jena is not a racist town, by any stretch, yes it is 80% white, but Atlanta is 70% African American, so is it racist? The media around the town is typical small town media and they bled this story and bled this story trying to get national exposure the rest of the United States does not see what the media has done to skew this situation, the nooses were investigated by the FBI in december when that incedent occured and they found it to be a prank especially when they found pictures on cell phones taken by african american students of other african american students sticking their heads through the nooses and laughing. They also try and make the town seem segregated, yet there are several mixed congregational churches who said it was injustice from white and african american members, if you go to the local swimming pool you see children and parents of both races inter mingling and if you go to one of the football games you see a diverse collection of fans high fiving as the giants play on friday nights. Go into Jena and take a look around, there arent seperate facilities, no segregated diners, you see whites and african americans working side by side. Believe it or not the south has changed a lot, we got mike jones, little boocie, andre 3000, just look at your record labels atlanta, houston, new orleans, the days of there arent KKK rallies around the calls made to the families and the people posting the adresses were in tennessee and missouri not louisiana, but in central states. I saw a story in a santa barbara newspaper about a african american student who was beaten and had to spend anight in a hospital by three other african american students and two of the boys are serving twenty years for a piece for attempted murder of the second degree, yet there are no rallies, no websites, jessie jackson didtn answer the calls from these moms... wheres the justice there? This town gets run down everyday on the local media who has made a mountain out a mole hill the lawyer of mychal bell already had the sentence being thrown out it was just waiting to be heard before Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton showed up. And as for the guys who printed those boys addresses they dont have the nerve to show up down there, because that kind of stuff isnt allowed in that town, and as far as Im concerned thats where they should be, because s&*% like that doesnt have no place anywhere but especially not in America.

Why is it that only
whites

Why is the Jena 6 situation not a hate crime?
If the situation was reversed, Jesse and everyone else would be there supporting full prosecution for a hate crime.
