Conflating profit and war is the most immoral thing in the world.

Republicans are only interested in making money and getting power.

It's so hard to listen to men of obvious intelligence dismissing bulletproof ethical arguments as gobble-dee-gook. There is a systematic failure of human compassion to assert itself in the hearts of men -- particularly those that subscribe to the neo-conservative ideology. Compassion is dead. And we have to get it back. We have to teach it in schools. We have to broadcast it on TV. We have to get big movie stars to scream the word in every camera that spies them out. We need giant marquees in Times Square to repeat the word in an ongoing scroll. We need to re-write the bible to take out all that allegory and myth, and replace it with straightforward language -- namely, the word "compassion" repeated a thousand times.

For the love of decency, can we please fight to get compassion back as a human characteristic?

Nice show; too bad the moderator skewed it towards the loser at the end. But who said that MSNBC was objective when it came to war? As Robert Greenwald stated in another movie, they are busy outfoxing Fox.

Delighted to see the inimitable Robert Greenwald once again... He keeps his cool while reiterating the most important issues about war profiteering... If anyone was talking gobbledygook,I'd say it was Mr. Gaffney for sure. I am thankful that Robert has the guts to go on that show and speak the truth.

I'm not sure what Jacl's point is. If it's that Al Qaida is now active, many of us have argued before the illegal invasion of Iraq took place that Al Qaida would grow immensely because of US actions. That the organization's influence may be more visible or present now is something we--even those of us opposed to the war--were able to predict five years ago.

In this short piece, neo-conman Frank refers to everything Robert said as "gobbledegook," thereby, he feels, eliminating any of its credibility. No, Frank. That disregard of legitimate points doesn't work, except with other neoconmen--and your numbers are dwindling.

And who would be the first contractor the CIA would turn to for black ops personnel? The Iraq Civil War did not start spontaneously and Al-CIA-duhs presence is now a daily mantra. I know Robert doesn't want to go down this road, but we'e all gonna have to face this some day. Global terrorism is not dreamed up in a cave in the Hindu Kush. It comes from the one beneath the Naval Observatory.

Good interview. What remains unmentioned is the notion that this is self-perpetuating. Some of the revenues (some from no bid contracts) are sent back to the GOP as campaign contributions. These contributions influence votes which help sustain the war which provide more revenues to Blackwater which provides more donations and so on . . .

It should be noted that Mr. Prince is well connected in GOP circles and is a conservative Evangelical Christian. BTW, has anyone determined that he really was a Navy Seal? There are some gaps in his bio.
