This is the sort of thing that Rev. Wright preaches so pationatly about. He remembers all the injustices and racism suffered when he was growing up. People tend to say that racism does not exist today. I think a lot of Americans live under a ROCK! The people to practice racism will never admit that they do.

This is why we will ALWAYS have to confront this RACE issue. Stiffer finds, JAIL TIME and law suits will help solve the problem, since you can not legislate behavior.

It's very sad to hear that this now 17 year old male is being put through the things he's going through in today's society. We really need to wake up, because the World is really coming to an end. Yes, we know that racism is still around, we see it in every day society. It's around and life will never be the same. It's like blacks have no right in the World. Mychal Bell is going through it at a very young age and I fear for his parents, because they have to go through it as well. He's getting sentenced for 18 months, when they know he had that pending against him, they should've done something about that when we was undergoing trials. This doesn't make any sense, and I'm a young African American looking for answers on why this is going on. Mychal Bell and family, know that you are in my prayers and I pray that you get through this and your are eligible to teach those who come after you. You are my HERO!!!

It is very disappointing to know that in the 21st century, that racism still exist. I cannot believe that the DA and the Attorney General would send a sixteen year old at the time of the fight to prison for 22 years, for a school fight. What is america coming to. Here we are over in over in another country fighting for freedom for those people and the blacks or people of color do not have the same rights as the white people. RACISM has to be stopped NOW!!!!!. What about the comment the DA Walker made "I can change your life by the stroke of my pen"? He should be fired for that racist comment. I am hoping that these young boys will be free so they can get back in school and get their that they so rightfully deserve.
