Speaker Pelosi reminds everyone that not only did Decider Bush veto health care for poor and sick children, but he also lied about his reasons for doing it.

She also reminded us of his past record on this issue:

"I think the strongest indication of the President's commitment to this program came when he was the governor of Texas."

Texas, as she points out, ranked 49th in providing health care to kids through SCHIP because that's the way then-Governor Bush wanted it. But hell, I'm sure they were kicking the crap out of Mississippi or Alabama when it came to health care spending for kids.
