We just passed the five year anniversary of the tragedy of losing a courageous hero. Instead we now have a shiny-toothed liar sitting in his seat (Al Franken or Mike Ciresi will take care of that).
Listen to Wellstone's words. His foresight, his courage, his understanding of the quagmire we would be getting ourselves into in Iraq. He was more man than any tough-talking, self-pissing, chickehawk GOPer could ever be.
And note to Dems: This is what REAL leadership looks like.

"Another reality is that Fox News is at the top of the televised news networks (and satellite radio as well)."
Well, the reason for that is that the neo-con, evangelical, repuglican crowd is happy getting their ideas, opinions, and fundamental thought handed to them by that single all-powerful being, Fox News.
Progressives don't have the luxury of some one single source to mold our character. Unfortunately, we take our infomation from many, many different sources. We hear many, many opposing views. Obviously we listen to conservo-christian opinion, othewise why would be be so concerned? But as a result, individuals who are fortunate to have a progressive mindset have differing opinions of what is right and how to accomplish it. And because we do listen to different opinions, and we don't have a lock on the media and we are unable to shriek the same un-ending message constantly, repetetively, shrilly, we don't always seem to generate the same level of noise or numbers as those who support this currently-reigning power structure.
I don't know much about Wellstone, but I watched the video. The man saw what was going to happen and said what, we now know, has happened. Whatever you trolls want to say, the truth is there are only 2 ways to get to the top. You either build yourself up or tear everyone else down. Which applies to Wellstone and which applies to Fox... and which do you want history to apply to you?
