The speech was unremarkable for its first half, dealing with the 4 lies about Iran, but her attempt to justify the Iranian regime's treatment of homosexuals and women and her pretence that it was the most democratic in the Middle East (it isn't - Lebanon for one is much more liberal) was really outrageous. This is like one of those defences of the Soviet Union as a workers' paradise that old-style Stalinists engaged in. I thought that we had moved on from that nonsense.
if she is met with such reaction in an antiwar conference in the uk, i wonder what would happen to her if she gave the same speech in the us?
what were they shouting at her anyway?
