People are people, they won't give money away unless they really think they're going to get something in return..... they believe in Ron Paul!

The key here is principle, Ron Paul does not want to dictate his personal beliefs, he wants to dictate freedom and leave our choices up to us, he wants to literally take the choices away from the Federal Government and give them back to "the people", there is not a Democrat or Republican alive that really worries about that today EXCEPT Ron Paul and I've already had people say he's just talking stuff, but, his record speaks for him.

Eve, I agree, it is a personal right.
Therefor not a federal issue. Since Ron Paul thinks the matter belongs out of the federal government it can be pretty safely asserted that he won't allow any laws to be passed that Allow or Ban it at the federal level. He wouldn't have any control over the states anyways.

My freedom to choose a medical procedure is NOT a states rights issue. It is an issue of individual rights and freedom. No state has the right to tell people what they can and cannot do medically. But some people think women are not entitled to the same rights as men.

Well on issues like Gay marriage and Abortion I think Ron Paul's stance is unique and perhaps the correct way to approach these kinds of issues.
While I disagree with some of his positions, I have to agree with his commitment to make them a state matter not a federal matter.
Rather then both being legal or illegal nation wide he wants to leave it up to the states.
I like that idea because it gives people choice in deciding which state they want to live in. Also it brings the battle over these kinds of issues closer to home where they matter most.
While it doesn't mean everyone gets what they want it is better then uniformly applying one idea to the whole nation. Which isn't freedom.

I like Ron Paul. He has always been against the war in Iraq. He seems very honest and straight forward. But he is also very, very conservative. No way would I vote for him.

You are right, the Democrats do need to pay attention. Ron Paul is running with a Libertarian message and it is appealing to many voters. Including many young voters. Someone has opined (here? I don't remember) that a Libertarian message will grab a lot of the independents in this election.

And his war message is very clear. Get out. Now.

Ron Paul is so far Right, he nearly goes full circle to be left. So much so that I would expect people from both the Left and the Right to be supporters.
Enough people even that he very well could and perhaps should be the next president.

I'm a registered dem but I'm voting Ron Paul. Period, he has the most sound message of all candidates.
Also something that should be given considerable weight is the fact he is not a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. A treasonist organization.

Almost every single other candidate from either party is a member.
