A comical take on a serious subject. The tyrannical triangle of the Bush Administration, China and multinational corporations is causing our children to get sick, because none of these parties could give a damn whether there is lead in your kids' toys.
It's all about profits no matter the cost and cronyism, two things that conservatism breeds like rabits. It is a failed ideology through and through, and unless we roll it back, we can expect in the future to return to the good old days of caveat emptor, where you literally will not be able to trust what is in any product you buy.
Because hey, some CEO who only made $21 million last year needs to squeeze a bit more profit out of his/her toys than only slave labor will provide.
Curiously, after being poisoned with Vietnamese canned crab, Thai prawns...(in just the last 3 mos) I was looking at my friend's IPOD and thinking oh yipee, bet this Chinese made toy is doing its leadly best to make someone sick.
I'm beginning to think this whole administration bases its policies on the Phillip Morris concept: as in wait to be caught, it's cheaper. We end up always chasing after these poisons never getting out in front. hmmm, kinda like torturing people who may already have a plan rather than getting out in front with a sustainable foreign policy. Hey, it's always the same mentality.
