You know, the American people can be great. You can pull them into war, just like any people. One thing you don't do is try a sleight of hand without admitting you f*cked up. Of course had the President done that, he might have to answer at the Hague if he left the U.S. Don't blame Bush the elder, he darn well listened to his generals, in particular one that spent a great deal negotiating when the world was with us.
Pretending to be just, pretending to be righteous is even worse XTV. The "Global War of Terror™" is a joke. You can't have a global war on it without the majority of the world actually standing with you. Heck I'm not even sure it's possible then.
You talk about Hussein as if the current administration had nothing to do with him prior to the takedown. We have. Crazily enough, we helped him maintain power, all while he was a murdering monster. The problem with a murdering monster is that they're, in reality, pretty darn common as far a brutal world leaders go. How many more wars do you want? Iran? Saudi Arabia? Pakistan? Russia? N. Vietnam? N. Korea? China? Any one of a number of African countries?
You have a cush sense of reality. That reality is pretty one-sided. That reality seems to be pretty half-baked at that. You don't go around giving your enemy more fuel for the fire. We had the world on our side with Afghanistan. Heck we had Pakistan, which could pretty easily have been counted in the Axis of Evil (i.e. they support terrorists under the table) helping us. We could have turned Afghanistan into a Democratic beacon for the Mid-East. Now we'll be lucky to have a strong-arm government hold off a resurgent Taliban.
The biggest problem for George W. Bush? Lack of proper planning and adaptability. Lack of accountability. An overwhelming sense of entitlement he seems to have. A willingness to shred the document the terrorists hate in the first place. Oh, and the "if you're not with us, you're against us" stupidity. People aren't necessarily against you, just because they don't agree with your methods.
We didn't beat the Soviets with guns or missiles. We beat them by giving their kids something more to aspire for. Something we're failing to do in the "Global War of Terror™."

Americans and their cush-sense of things.
REALITY CHECK
Sooner or later Hussein had to go.
Blame a Bush? -Yeah, Bush senior.
Seems he never gets stung for this.
During the entire Iraq campaign
we haven't even lost as many people
as are still missing from our 2 years
in Korea. 5,500 -check the record.
You think oil and nut-job fundamentalist
regimes are NOT genuine strategic concerns?
And -so how did you get to the supermarket
yesterday? --roller-skates?
During the period of our Iraq involvement
-40,000 people of all ages have been
murdered in Red China and North Korea
--for their organs -many of which are
earmarked for members of the American
Hollywood and music communities.
-You know -where it's fashionable to
protest the immorality of the Iraq war.
Just so far this year more people
have died in Mexico's drug war than
in our entire time in Iraq. Also,
lots of those drugs heading for
Hollywood, Memphis and New York too.
And finally, during our entire
"War on Terror" -America hasn't
even had a draft!
Guess peace in the cush zone is hell
too -in fact, maybe an even creepier hell.

Nope, none were found.
And by the way, Sven, despite what you may have heard, Iraq had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks.
Get a clue.

So... the tons of "yellowcake" doesn't count as a wmd? Enriched uranium is just a sign of a country that follows UN regulations?
Granted, Joe has a higher IQ than me, but wouldn't nerve gas and other chemical weapons count as some sort of threat in the hands of a anti-western, aggressive dictator?
Why can't America be happy that the Iraqis are better off without having to fear being shot and raped by Saddam's Guard? That a democratic system is in place and plans to leave Iraq as early as 2011?

Republicans that are ancy to put blame on this congress for being 'do nothing' should not that A: this congress is technically far ahead of the curve as far as measures and things passed. B: any larger ambitious legislation is guaranteed to get vetoed by the President so they don't waste their time. C: the Republicans have managed to filibuster 77 times in two years, making a new filibuster record! Republicans don't know how to compromise, they just refuse like children then blame the Dems, like children. Just F.Y.I.
Duh! Do you know the process of getting bills, etc. passed once the Congress agrees on it? What party has a president in the white house that has the final say on whether to accept or veto a bill?
Now as you were saying, Nothing has been done! But wait, and you'll see the difference when Obama gets in there. Just as the difference was seen when Clinton was in there. I hope that you still get to reap the benefits of McCains policies even when Obama makes it in. I hope you still manage to have your hard earned money taxed, health care benefits cut, job unstable, and all of the things you're trying to vote him in to do. That way you don't feel like you lost.

He needs to rip her to shreds anyway in the debate, it's a DEBATE, sex doesn't count, if she can't hold her own it's not because of her sex and it will just cement the fact that she will be an incompetant VP(not that we need the debate to prove that)
