Smart idea Fred. Go after Social Security. Considering the beginning of the downfall of your party can probably be traced to your idiotic move to mess with Social Security after George W. Bush gained all that "political capital" by suppressing votes in Ohio in 2004 and still barely winning.

Although in your defense, your party has done so many unbelievably stupid things, from Karl Rove to Katrina, that you'd probably be in the tank right now anyhow.

Still, not exactly an effort I would want to reignite.
