I find this whole thing hysterical though more reason to not take any of these Republican candidates seriously... bunch of goof balls! For Hillary to respond would make her just as bad...

This is why it is sexist: That particular insult, in this context, is gender-specific. That particular choice of word is specifically connected to her being a woman. If that woman made a similiar comment about Obama with any word that had to do with his colour or race, that would be racist. It doesn't matter who is saying it. She isn't calling her "a bitch" because she really thinks she is the definition of a bitch, but because she wants to insult her, and she is choosing to do so in a way that is directly connected to her gender.That is unneccesary and uncalled for. (Women can be sexist too, you know!)Now, suppose there's a man and some woman snaps at him to get out of her way or something and he says, "you're a bitch!" - that's not sexist. "Bitch" isn't just across the board sexist. It depends on the context. He would have said it because he thought her behaviour was bitchy, not because she's a woman and he wanted to put her down based on her gender.
Apart from it being sexist, it's just rude, ignorant and wrong. If a Democrat had said "how do we beat the idiot" about Bush, that would have been wrong too. This was not funny and not right. I wouldn't want someone as my president that would laugh off a comment like that. What if the woman had said "how do we beat the n----"? Would that have been funny? I don't think so.

Nice one, troll. It IS sexist, but more importantly it's offensive and demeaning. The appropriate response would have been to say: "There's no place in my campaign for language like that. I don't agree with Hillary Clinton on the issues, and I hope to defeat her in the campaign, but I will not condone calling a woman that word." I can only assume he thought this would help him with The Base, but McCain's got as much chance as I do of being elected president now.

How is it sexist for one woman to call another woman a bitch? That's about as sexist as a man calling another man a bastard. It's ricockulous, just like when the Hillary camp starts playing the gender card when Dem candidates have the temerity to call her on her bullshit.
