The fallout of Monday’s NIE about Iran’s dormant nuclear weapons program illustrates the dangers of the three-headed beast that is the Bush administration, the republican party, and their mouthpiece, FOX. It’s also a good illustration of why we at BNF do what we do.
Our video, FOX ATTACKS! Iran, showed that the Bush administration, the neocons, and FOX have learned absolutely nothing from the Iraq debacle. The Bush administration is still trying to scaremonger and invent a reality that fits their predetermined goals, and FOX is still willing to jam it down their viewers throats while pretending they’ve actually done the work of a real, unbiased news organization. In fact, they’ve learned so little that, in many cases, they’re even using the same language.
After the Iraq war had already begun, a PIPA/Knowledge Networks study was released revealing that people who watch FOX were much more likely to be completely wrong about such vital questions as whether WMD were found in Iraq, whether world opinion supported the US invasion of Iraq, and whether Iraq had ties to Al-Qaeda. The answers to these questions greatly affected their support for the Bush administration and its decision to go to war.
I wonder what percentage of FOX viewers believe that Iran was on the verge of developing a nuclear weapon and war was the only way to stop them.
FOX ATTACKS! Iran was viewed over 735,000 times. Those viewers got to see how FOX and the Bush administration unapologetically try to drag the US into war using a mix of cherry-picked intelligence, lies, and scaremongering. I hope those viewers left the video thinking what we at BNF thought while making it: WE CAN’T LET THIS HAPPEN AGAIN.
But this is only one battle. After waiting one day to get their marching orders, FOX is leading the charge to distort or deny the findings of the NIE. Bush is saying that the findings of the NIE change nothing, just as he has remained unapologetic that no WMD were found in Iraq.
Take a breath, steel yourself, and prepare to keep fighting. We aren’t out of the woods yet.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! 1 down , lot more to go!! Go preach your 9/11 theory to moveon,or Alec Baldwin or any extreme left wing nut . Buh Bye
