I assume you don't give a rat's rear what I'm about to say,, but I'm going to say it anyway.

I admire what you just posted. I admire the intellectual honesty you displayed here, which shows me that even though I think your are a nut job on issues, you have honest-to-God standards, and you see as I do that the system itself is corrupt and little more that a circus sideshow.

So bravo to you for calling this crap what it is.

There is not one private conversation I have had, not one dinner discussion I am participated in, not one Air America or Progressive Democratic blog poll I can recall, where the general consensus wasn't that John Edwards and Dennis Kucinich were the preferred candidates. With Joe Biden mentioned frequently as being by far the most well informed and articulate.

But the caucus goer and primary voters do not represent the grass roots majority they never have and never will. Who wins is reflective of organization and money and even being interested in politics in the first place. Is it not revealing that the two biggest money-raisers are one and two in the polls? Experts also predict that the Iowa turnout among Democrats will be no higher than last election and possibly lower.

The fact that mass voter blocks could or might be swayed by a television celbrity billionaire is discouraging. I actually like Obama very much; given the choice between Hillary and Obama, he would get my vote. But there is something distasteful and patronizing about this "rock show" to me.

Marti, I couldn't agree with you more... It's about time we vote for what we think is best, not what we're sold by PR... and the press does a great job of telling us who's going to be our candidates. D.

I think she's saying what most people feel - nobody wants politics as usual, which is what you get with...Hillary. Wouldn't it be amazing if instead of supporting someone we thought could beat a republican progressives backed a truly progressive candidate? I'm not saying that Obama is that candidate- but I am saying that supporting someone you actually believe in probably yields better results than supporting someone because you think they're the only person that stands a chance and is probably just a more mild version of what we have now.

Gee... And Hillary counters by dragging out her daughter who means nothing politically, her mother who meand nothiong politcally and her very tired looking husband who's not relevent any longer... Lady O was brilliant in her endorsement speech yesterday for Barack... Bye, Bye Hillary... Here's to the Dems nominee, Barack O.
