In a time that seems to lack an ounce of leadership by Democratic or even progressive leaders, Dodd again is showing what a honorable and principled man he truly is.

He will filibuster today, in the old sense (not just threatening it) where he will take the floor and fight to stop the travesty of phone companies that spied on Americans in defiance of the 4th Amendment getting immunity.

My personal explanation is this: We are fighting another battle to preserve the Republic we believe in from becoming part of the Corporatist State that Repbublicans, Blue Dog Democrats, "New" Democrats and too many others have fought to erect to keep the flow of campaign contributions on the express train to their grubby little hands.
