Here is a possible opportunity for folks in Northern California to cover a apparent worthwhile event and would likely get some really good video interviews (and I am not associated in any way with this event--other than may attend).

Tickets for the 6th annual Wild and Scenic Film Festival are available just in time for Christmas.
The Nevada City event benefiting the Yuba River is being billed as the largest environmental film festival in the country, surpassing Telluride Film Festival in the number of environmental films shown. There will be 130 films shown this year with several world and state premieres.
A variety of tickets cater to a wide range in film viewing appetites and budgets. “It’s a great Christmas gift,” said Janet Cohen, event coordinator.
The event will take place Jan. 11-13 and fuels the economy during a lean time by filling restaurants and local hotels.
