Gainesville Commission is set to vote 5-2 to change the City's Comprehensive plan to allow development on property that the City is commited to remain industrial to satisfy FAA regulations on noise abatement.

Despite the FAA and paid consultants' recommendations NOT to develop the land, certain least side (black) community leaders
have insisted that it go forward regardless the impact to Gainesville Regional Airport -- an issue that has NOT enjoyed any fact-finding to date.

This video deals with the mis-representaions of charts and facts given to City staff having to do with aircraft altitude of aircraft on approach to runway 12.

The "noise" issue is the dominant hurdle for approval but I believe the "safety" iissue has been virtually ignored.

This video contains a bit of added drama but I feel it's necessary to make the point in the brief time given to one individual to make a recommendation to their government.
