Thanks for the comment! Yeah some elements of Christian Zionism can be pretty wacky (which Pastor Hagee proved again this week). I was watching the movie War Games on cable the other night. And the notion of "mutually assured destruction" -- which prevented the Soviets and the U.S. from nuking each other -- now seems like such a quaint concept. Now we have Christian Zionists who are actually trying to hasten the rapture and the end of the world and extremist elements in the Middle East who are willing to sacrifice themselves for greater glory. So "mutually assured destruction" at least kept our policies somewhat rational and now there is a great deal of irrationality seeping into the political system. Strange days indeed. The Religious Nuts have taken over the party and intend to bring about their belief in revelation! And that is," by bombing Iran" they will bring about "The End Of Times" and when that happens, that will usher in the "second coming of Jesus" They believe that "Jesus" will fly the faithful to their concept of heaven and the rest of us will suffer the pain and agony of "HELL!"
