Speaking of Ron Paul, I understand that he's since called on his supporters to support Constitution Party Presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin.

And even then, the Constitution Party has some rather weird and unwholesome elements among its ranks....

George Bush, John McCain and the like aren't Republicans. They're Capitalists at best. I'm an Obama supporter, but would vote for Ron Paul in a heartbeat.

I consider myself a Green and an independent, and I've voted Democrat for the past 28 years. But Ron Paul was someone that I would've voted for in a heartbeat. It's tragic that he was torpedoed by his own party because he didn't play the game. Compared to him, George W. Bush is Muammar Qaddafi (actually, that's probably insulting to Mr. Qaddafi).

Ron Paul is a good man. We need more people like him in Washington. And I am voting for Obama.

Oops, I phrased that unfortunately. Obviously, big government isn't getting in the way of corporate welfare.

My point is that it's precisely the unbridled laissez-faire expansion of corporatism during the Gilded Age, the Roaring Twenties, the Fifties and the coke-fueled Eighties that has created the apparently unassailable political/economic power structure that envelopes both national parties.

So... while Dr. Paul seems to be refreshingly outside of that, the ideology is still a mistake of the past even when practiced honestly.

Ron Paul isn't bad... if you're a Conservative. Problem is, Conservatism spawned the capital power structure that created the government that you're all complaining about. The same capital hierarchy that lambastes "big government" when govt. gets in the way of corporate welfare or market gouging. "Wealth of Nations" was good for its time and a much needed change... at the time.

It's time for something completely different. Right is wrong for humans.

So much talk about the constitution. Here it is:

The Constitution, Article I, Section 3:
The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.

Judgment in Cases of Impeachments shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust, or Profit under the United States, but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment, and Punishmnet, according to Law.

The House of Representatives must vote for articles of impeachment and then the Senate would hold the impeachment proceedings. The chief justice of the Supreme Court presides over the proceedings. Refer to this link...

He can't put a bill because it is not the job of the house of representatives to impeach according to the constitution. It is Senate's job. Get your facts about the constitution straight before you attack Dr. Paul.

At this point, impeachment is counter-productive. It could allow the current administration to declare a national emergency and postpone elections. Don't want that do you, undrgrndgirl? ;-) Keep researching Dr. Paul tho, join us! It's a good, American cause.

I think we should all turn off our TVs. Use the internet as our venue, and make our own political shows and debates . . . .and elect, with our own method of voting, our President! If Fox News and other "news" venues are indoctrinating us and forcing us to have only their "choice" of candidates for us to "choose" from, elections fraud is not beyond them. I don't trust that the Iowa or New Hampshire polls were the real deal. I think there was definitely fraud. Ron Paul consistently wins polls (except some that the TV media have that are so strange, no one really believes them anyway) and has the most money given to him in one day - more than any other candidate BY THE PEOPLE and. . . .also more than any in history! I see Ron Paul signs everywhere here in California and other states. More than any other candidate. The news reports and the visibility of Ron Paul's success do NOT match!!!! Let's have manual voting!!!!
