Former President Clinton is at it again. He repeats criticisms of Senator Obama, and says the media is focusing too much on his attacks rather than on the issues.
Bill Clinton became visibly upset Wednesday over comments by a prominent South Carolina Democrat that compared the former president's actions on the trail to those of infamous Republican strategist Lee Atwater.
In an interview with CNN's Jessica Yellin, Dick Harpootlian, a former chairman of the South Carolina Democratic Party and a supporter of Barack Obama, said some of Bill Clinton's recent remarks on the campaign trail were appeals based on race and gender. He said the comments were meant to "suppresses the vote, demoralize voters, and distort the record," and said they were "reminiscent of Lee Atwater."
Clinton sharply disputed the charge, and lashed out at Yellin for raising the question.
Bill Clinton (from the video):
"This rhetoric is gettin' a little carried a way here... This is what you want to cover, this is what you live for...What you care about is this. And the Obama people know that. So they just spin you up on this and you happily go along."
Last night Craig Crawford was on Keith Olbermann's Countdown saying that the Democratic party is teetering on the edge of destroying their own chances in the general election because of this ongoing battle between the Clintons and Barack Obama.
I have to agree. It's self-destructive, it's getting really old, really fast, and it's an unnecessary distraction from the issues. The issues. Remember those? Those are what we win on in November.
Bill, you're a wonderful politician, a strong supporter of Hillary, and a very smart guy. Make me like you again, because for the first time, I'm losin' that lovin' feeling. Start acting like a president again.
Barack, you too. Stick to hope and eloquence and what you believe in.
Barack, Hillary, you're both great candidates and have similar feelings about most things that matter.
All three of you behave, or we're turning this car around and I'll ground the three of you.
And John Edwards, you come with me. I'm treating you to an ice cream sundae...with extra hot fudge.

Bucky : Love the Edwards, will be happy with Obama and holding your nose to vote Clinton??? Why the apparent ambivalence?
And which Clinton are you voting for? :)
A couple of struck it rich Hillbill(ies) if you ask me!!
