This is true of many people. Crowds become an automatic, almost sublimal stimulant to many gifted speakers and are often at their optimum when addressing one. With a camera directly in your face a kind of unconscious unease will set in. Speaking to a crowd, you see the crowd and not the cameras. You become electrified yourself and your intellect rises to seize the moment..
Absolutely nothing strange about that..

As for repeating what was said in S.C. - you really can't change your message. All candidates do the same..

He's green-friendly. I'm a supporter and I'll be the first to say that he's got a lot between his ears. He reinforced a lot of what he said in his s.c. victory speech. And the finish was real strong.

If Obama became President, I wonder if he'd put himself in that situation more. Why not do a press conference with 3000 real people, instead of 30 reporters?
