Don't worry. John Edwards will be the vice presidential running mate, regardless of who wins the party nomination. If the Dems are elected, he'll one day become president. Maybe we can look forward to 16 years of progressive leadership ahead.

I feel a bit better after hearing his speech. I know he will continue to work to make things better. I thought it was great how he told his supporters that with Elizabeth and their family at his side, that he is just fine and not to worry about him. I liked that because I am sorry that they must be disappointed.

John Edwards was.. no IS a hero to us working class folk. He and his wife, both worked constantly for a better America. I wish his family well and hope he NEVER stops talking about and DOING what American needs, the END of Bushism!

There was a time being the only white male in a presidential campaign would be thought of as a shoe in... This time he may have been forced out because he wasn't the minority... Too bad. He was a great candidate... Great ideas. Great compassion... Now we'll see if we can get the choice of the final two right. D.

On several occasions over the last year, John Edwards has moved me to tears with his speeches. His exit speech was no different.

I feel that today our country and our political process are the big losers. I can only hope that he is able to hold both Obama and Clinton to their pledges to engage the cause of economic justice in earnest.
