He exited the race as gracefully as he entered it. And we're all better off for his forcing the discussion of endemic poverty in the United States back into our newsrooms for the first time in a generation.
I hope former Sen. Edwards stays active in progressive politics. We'll all benefit from it.

Don't worry. John Edwards will be the vice presidential running mate, regardless of who wins the party nomination. If the Dems are elected, he'll one day become president. Maybe we can look forward to 16 years of progressive leadership ahead.
