Your humble correspondent, part of the best political team in progressive media is reporting to you live from the Kodak Theatre in Los Angles right now, site of the highly anticipated Democratic debate tonight. It’s early and I’m in the lobby grabbing a cup of coffee, just happy my cell and the wi-fi is working here. So, today I thought I would try to give you the flavor of what it’s like at one of these events. If you have any questions you can e-mail me at john@bravenewfoundation.org and I'll do my best to get you an answer.
The security is intense. Detouring around the block trying to access the parking garage I passed numerous bomb squad vehicles as well as K-9 units along with a huge assortment of other security vehicles. There were also lots of police officers walking the street, even a few blocks away. I had to show my company ID and drivers license three times before being able to enter the garage.
Walking to the elevator from where I parked I caught up to Joey, a security officer on his way in. A nice young kid in his 20’s Joey had his game face on and when I casually mentioned the security I had seen so far he replied,
“Well I don’t want to blow up do you?”
Driving in along Hollywood Boulevard earlier, it struck me how distressed and neglected the neighborhood had become, a far cry from the glitz and glamour of years ago and probably not at all what most of America would envision it to be. I saw at least six or seven homeless persons within a few blocks of the Kodak although that changed quickly a few blocks from the theatre, as the immediate area was sanitized for the Academy Awards a few years ago. It’s clean, crisp and safe now, before it fades back into poverty a few blocks further on to the East. I wonder if the plight of the homeless will get discussed tonight, probably not, I don’t think it’s on the latest pollsters buzzword list. Maybe my cynicism will prove to be unfounded, I doubt it.

Your correct to some degree, but other countries are vigilant in fixing corruption within their governments. We hire more police and tell the public that the government could not function if it had to with oversight. They all have immunity to any real prosecution, and even immunity from you being able to sue them for damages.
The other countries are smart enough to know who the thieves are, and they keep a close eye on them. Our politicians are bought by foriegnors who cannot get away with that shit in their own country.
