It all boils down to what Reagan did in 1988 bowing to pressure from the right: "Abolishing the Fairness Doctrine" which allowed channels like Fox News and Rush Limbaugh to exist. 92% of radio talk show hosts are right wing persuasion. Public airwaves belong to the public and the fairness doctrine must be restored. Insist that the presidential candidates promise to restore the fairness doctrine and bust the 5 media monopolies which control our thought process.

Bill tries to spin all criticism of the president and his policies by screaming that all the opposition is from a few left-wing loons. Most Americans, 70% or so, oppose the war and occupation of Iraq. Most would like to see our troops come home now. But to O'Reilly, this idea of legitimate and thoughtful dissent does not translate well into good propaganda so he characterizes all dissent as coming from a cartoon-like sideshow, despite the fact that our country was founded on dissent. Fox News would like to turn people into "patriotic" drones with no critical thinking who reflexively support militaristic policies and the GOP.
