She voted for stem cell research, against Roberts and Alito, for the maintaining of class action lawsuits, for a ban of the cruel or inhumane treatment of detainees, against John Bolton, for transparency in legislation. And she had a big role in S-chip. Should she have cried about them for her votes to be considered genuine?
I don't agree with every stance she took in her career, but I believe she has proven her concern for domestic issues with real live votes. I don't ask her to cry about them publicly.
Now the cameras are on her 24/7 and she is running for president. That she gets emotional because a former workmate praises her after knowing her for 4 decades does not bother me.

Fortunately, as bad as the pain is, I am fortunate not to have the aural issues some migraine sufferers have. It just hurts.

Which is probably my biggest problem with Clinton -- it's all about her! She was emotional because it's "personal for HER."

Where was the emotion when she was voting to invade Iraq? Where was the emotion for thousands of dead Americans? Where was the emotion for hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis?

And here we have another outburst on the eve of the biggest voting day in the primary. Worked well last time, so let's try it again. Yeah, I'm cynical like that. And yeah, the Clintons are calculating like that.

I don't mind -- even appreciate -- emotion when it is appropriate. A presidential candidate feeling sorry for themselves isn't one of those times.

I posted something long ago, after one of the first debates about how Obama brushed off Elizabeth Edwards after a debate (on stage), and got a few backs up. See? Equal opportunity eyebrow raising.

If Obama did something similar to this, I'd post about it too. And the chair thing, I didn't realize it had become a "deal" until I heard people calling up on talk radio. To me it was a big zero, so I had to rethink that, too.

Funny story, I told my mom I was arguing with friends online about this and my son said, "arguing, like mean?" I had to laugh and say, no we argue because we like it. It's why we are friends. Think I just created a monster?
I realize things are calculated. Here's an example, after the "snub" got around the last debate had some real interest. How would Obama react to it and how would Clinton? When he went out of his way to move toward, to be chivalrous I have to admit I teared up. I thought, sure, it's calculated. But it made me cry nonetheless.

Sorry, I can't give her that. Everything each candidate does is at the very least a little bit calculated. I'm not saying she affects people as informed as you are, nor would she, or any candidate, target the knowledgeable voter with something like this.

After reading comments (not here), seeing interviews, talking to people myself, yes, many voters were affected positively by her tears.

And many negatively. I was neutral enough about the first time this happened, but two in a row the day before...? I'm not as naive as I used to be. And if this was completely sincere, I'm afraid she'll have to expect some to question her, fair or not.

And there's this: I like her. I'm not on the attack. But I'm also not ignoring it.

I totally disagree. Holy crap the guy was a former boss, she was just given an emotional encomium by the guy and she shouldn't have any emotion? If she hadn't, what would you be saying?
Frankly I'm disappointed. The republican hit jobs marking her as an emotionless, calculating machine really hit their mark long after they had expected. Damned if she does, damned if she doesn't. Well ain't that just grand.
