Word on the streets is that Hillary Clinton’s campaign, realizing that they’ve probably lost progressives, young people, celebrities, and the netroots to Barack Obama, have decided to defy over 6 million FOX ATTACKS! viewers and court an untapped demographic: FOX viewers who hate her, her family, and everything she stands for. How else would you explain this?
In a conference call with reporters, Clinton strategist Mark Penn announced that Clinton would like to face off against Obama in one debate every week between now and March 4. –snip-
Penn said Clinton would like to see debates in Ohio, Texas, and Washington, and had already accepted three: One on ABC's This Week with George Stephanopolous, one CNN debate in Ohio February 27, and an MSNBC debate the next day hosted by Chris Matthews.
Wolfson also said Clinton has accepted a debate on Fox News, something Democrats shunned last year. That debate is scheduled for February 11, in Washington D.C., and would also air on the local Fox affiliate.
Really, Hillary? Are you this desperate?
Don’t you realize that for the past twelve years, FOX’s only goal has been to demonize you, your husband, and the democratic party? That they paint you and Bill as murderers? Don’t you know that FOX is the biggest player in “the vast right-wing conspiracy” that unfairly neutralized your husband with lies and trash? Did you know that FOX still blames Bill for 9/11 and anything bad that has happened in this country since 1992?
FOX viewers have been trained for years to hate you. Mention your name and they bare their teeth like the Pavlovian dogs they have been trained to be. For over a year, FOX has been pronouncing you to be so detestable and evil that even the weakest republican field in memory would trounce you. For FOX viewers, you are Satan/Hitler/Mussolini/Castro/Media Matters rolled into one. That’s how FOX has been portraying you for the past 12 years.
By agreeing to be in a debate on FOX, you are telling the world that you think FOX is a place where democrats can be treated and portrayed fairly. You couldn't possibly believe that. FOX’s legitimacy is in the garbage. Why do you want to exhume it? If you legitimize FOX by going on one of their debates, you are forfeiting the right to criticize them when they attack you with lies, smears, and distortions. After all, you already said they were fair enough to host a democratic debate.
As I said in a previous post, FOX viewers will never vote for a democrat. To do so would be an abandonment of everything they stand for. To vote for you, a FOX viewer would have to tell himself, “I’m voting for Hillary Clinton because I want the US to be defeated in Iraq, for America to be overrun by terrorists and Mexicans, for the federal government to take all my money, for Bill Clinton (my arch enemy) to be back in the White House, for the US to become a socialist/communist country, and for every American to be forced to get abortions and gay marriages.” You must’ve seen what FOX did to Ron Paul. That’s nothing compared to what they do to you on a daily basis. And you’re going to reward them.
Democrats and progressives don’t watch FOX. Actually, democrats and progressives loathe FOX because they realized long ago that FOX is a republican propaganda machine, not a news channel. So you won’t win dem votes there. As for republican votes?
In our 2004 polling with Media Vote, using Nielsen diaries, we found that Fox News viewers supported George Bush over John Kerry by 88 percent to 7 percent. No demographic segment, other than Republicans, was as united in supporting Bush. Conservatives, white evangelical Christians, gun owners, and supporters of the Iraq war all gave Bush fewer votes than did regular Fox News viewers.
Hillary — do you really think you’ll become the FOX democratic candidate? And would you want to be?
FOX will support Clinton until she becomes the nominee just to get Obama out of the running then trash her before vote time. That way McCain will win and the World will end on schedule like their Bible says.
