Things seem to change on a dime this season, eh Bucky? But I don't want to bite my nails and hope for the best when it seems the voters themselves, what would be called her base, disagree. I think of it this way, if she won, many people would not consider her legitimate anyways. There's too much assumption that the only way a Clinton could win is by devious methods. I attribute this to the nice job done by the likes of Limbaugh etc..over the years. Even on the left we have absorbed the idea that the Clintons are power hungry animals that want to lord it over us for some reason or another. Well who can fight that? When we ourselves believe the worst, not through a careful reading of the issues ( and everyone here is exempt obviously) but by sheer force of repetition, then she has nothing to gain by winning. I know many have a problem with her stand on certain issues and I sure as hell do too. But on issues. Not on the destruction of her character. That to me, is heartbreaking. I really do believe she has a strong heartfelt desire to do right and to help. She is also a politician though too, and it's time to end it.

Addy, I'm sure you're right... But interestingly, I saw that old sawbuck, Bob Dole on TV and he was talking about his presidential campaigns. He recalled his (Dole's) big mistake was not getting out sooner from the first time he ran... His advisors kept telling him hold on, one more state and things will turn around. They didn't and se said in retrospect, he made a fool out of himself. I think Hillary's doing the same think. She's in El Paso pandering to the Latino vote... That's not going to get her over the finish line this time... Even if she wins 55 percent there, Obama will still be adding to his delegate count... He's ahead now... She's just fooling herself.

It's a shame. I believe she is a good person and a good candidate. But lots of people I thought were good just didn't make it. Howard Dean for one, should have been our president. But she either has some notion she can win some future state, or she's not seeing the signs. Too bad.

Just saw my first television political ad in years -- an Obama ad. He's making a play for Texas. Very interesting.

Laffy, Clinton has to feel we're stupid then... You lose 8 primaries in a row, you lose support in your strongest areas, you're losing in delegates, you're losing in popular vote... And his call to rally is wait until Texas... The world's past her by. It's over and nothing she can say will change that now... she picked a losing path and now is desperate. Ask Guilliani about picking a state far down the road. D.

I agree. I think she has a lot of confidence and some strategy she believes will work.

His resignation just shows that they're in shambles... Hillary's lost it... Only she can't see it yet... but as Oberman said on MSNBC, "Don't follow that guy leaving the ship!" It's over... and wicked witch is... Oh well. Not yet, but soon. D.

I don't think she will, either. I think she still believes she can pull this out, regardless of what is actually happening.

honestly, Adders, I want her to stay in. I think that the competition is good.

I'm not sure she will. One thing I like about the Clintons is their toughness and ability to stick it out. Whether that's a good idea here is another story, but it makes me think she won't bow out so easily.
