So I came across this video recently that is very clearly targeted to the Latino audience.

Years ago, I would've stepped back and possibly tried to preach the virtues of intellectual debate, higher education, etc. but the energy around the current Presidential race has caused me to rethink my previous position.

You'd be hard pressed to deny the excitement surrounding the recent debates, fund raising strategies and numbers heading to the polls.  My neighbor and I discussed "Obama Girl" a few Saturdays ago, over coffee in our front yard.  I've received various emails in the last few months that begin somewhere along the lines of: "I don't usually send political emails but this year, things are different."

We cannot deny that there is a lot at stake.  But, there always is. Maybe my neighbor is right and stooping to a level where you have to use sex to grab people's attention is disgusting. Hmmm...

"However," I said, "how about the OTHER side of that argument?"  You know, the side that is actually reaching all those people who don't usually forward political email?  The kids who wouldn't know anything about the people running for King, the issues they stand for or the possibility that they might actually look out for our collective best interest?

To that perspective I say, right on!  All I know is, the efforts to reach the youth, Latinos, and all the other *key* voters are creating a really FUN energy around this race.  People are hopeful.  People are excited.  People are paying attention.  People are engaged.  Isn't that what it's all about?
