TBPNTOTV!!!* is busier and teamier than ever, what with the election season in full swing. Let's swing along with them, okay? Okay! Today we have Suzanne, Madcap Bill Schneider, and Amy--but no Wolf!-- and what a crack team they are!
John Bash: It's getting "frostier out there on the old campaign trail." [Brrrrrr.]
Suzanne: (in Toledo, Ohio, on Nader's presidential bid) Nader won't make all that much difference.
Madcap: It's a disappearing niche [Nader voters]. He's "something of a public nuiscance."
Amy: Nader "won't matter". Dems are more enthusiastic than ever, it's a very different environment. A Bloomberg run would help Hillary.
John Bash: Obama has been criticizing Hillary on NAFTA.
Suzanne: She has praised it in the past, and been critical. She has to make her position clear. Yesterday, she was "spirited" about this. She runs a better campaign as the underdog, a true fighter, so this is how she tries to ultimately be on top.
John Bash: She's presenting herself as a fighter. But was conciliatory at the end of the last debate.
Madcap: It sounded to some like a concession speech. But for most of the debate she came across as a fighter. She's missing that, this year, they may be looking for someone who doesn't pick fights, and that's what Obama is running on. He's running against the last 20 years, including the '90s, and that he can deliver on what Bush promised: Being a uniter. And the message is working better than hers.
McCain/Iseman story, and Rush:
Amy: He needs conservatives, and the conservative voters may come around. But Rush gave himself the opportunity to put himself back in the spotlight.
"Me, me, me", it's always all about "me", isn't it Rush? Of course it is, because nothing is more appealing than big, fat, gaseous, lying, bile-spewing "me-dom". Let's not let that persona fade to black.
TICYMIS!!!**:
Ralph Nader doesn't take responsibility for Gore's loss. "I'm not a spoiler."
Charles Black, McCain adviser, says the Iseman story is a "phony" story.
Tim Kaine for Obama thinks he can help him win in Virginia.
