Greenpeace has made electronic waste a priority, with a campaign to pressure tech giants into taking more corporate responsibility on everything from computers to printer cartridges.
And while some companies have taken e-cycling strides in the last few years, the U.S. has been too slow to pass adequate legislation and too quick to ship e-waste overseas, where it is disposed of in a highly hazardous way.
