Just watched yesterday's Maher and I'll agree that the Hillary bashing did seem a bit gratuitous. And misogynist. Hitch is certainly misogynist. Not sure about Bill himself, but could easily see that.

Still, they were giving Hillary shit for the 'fear' ad that she is running and she deserves every bit of it.

Overall, a better show than last week. Which wasn't hard to do. Was glad to hear Dan Savage call out Buckley. I've been groaning all week at the love that's been coming from the left for this ass. Yes, he was witty and polite and a horrible racist and misogynist and homophobe. I don't care how pretty you wrap up the package, it's still just ugly underneath.

I voted for Bill both times, but have never been an acolyte. He was better than the other options, and he had his great moments. But he had his also not so great moments. I'm much more progressive and am not a DLC fan.

Still, overall, he had a very successful presidency. Particularly in retrospect in comparison to the current idiot who can barely string complete sentences together.

I've been constantly amazed this election cycle that Bill has been so willing to tarnish his reputation as he stumps for Hillary.

I love Maher, but he is as misogynistic as they get. All one needs to do is hear him explain why he won't ever get married to see that. Going after Hillary this way would not surprise me.

Basically, Mahr made a clip of Hillary's campaign and showed off her MANY different personalities, as he called it. It was based on the notion that a Woman can't become President because they get too emotional! AND it was offensive. Of course, the moment it was over, Bill said "Please don't write to me." Then Christopher Hitchens opened his pie hole and EVEN WORSE came out and Bill said "Please, WRITE TO HIM."

Abrams more than made up for it on his show . . . and besides, I suspect more people saw that one. Maher, who I love, seems to have a pretty limited audience consisting of progressive true believers and pot-smoking libertarians . . . who can afford more than basic cable.

Buckskin: True, but he lucked out with Bill Maher. I would have expected Maher to be all over this, but he was not up to speed on the National Anthem v. Pledge story, and so McPutz got a free ride. Last night, Maher tried to compensate, but it was too little too late.

It was either that or "thingamajig," but I had no idea how to spell that.

Let me just point out again that while Kingston is a complete tool, he's no idiot. He knows what he is doing when he goes on these shows to rail about Obama not wearing a flag pin when he isn't wearing one himself. He's pulled the same stunt many times.

Because he knows that the interviewer is going to jump all over him for it and he knows that the more time we spend talking about this completely ridiculous topic means that we aren't talking about substantive issues. So he wins. And the republicans win. He may seem a little silly to the television audience, but he's smart enough to be controlling the conversation.

You are right Gottalaff and I expected NOTHING less than this from the Sith tainted GOP. In fact, this is only the beginning! Bill Mahr went on about it on his show last night. That the Right is going after Obama for these HOLLOW things. WHY? Because it works (See JR's wins over Gore and Kerry) The Sith are EVIL! They have placed their loyalty to their MONEY, POWER and.... MONEY! The GOP is now the Party of MONEY! Is that a bad thing as a whole? No. BUT they will try to get it ANY WAY POSSIBLE! Wreck the environment? Yes. Steal from the poor and middle classes? In a heart beat. Send CHILDREN to die in ridiculous wars? Always. Along the way the GOP aligned themselves to Racists, Thieves, Fanatics and Scum! WAY more than the Democratic Party to be sure! They are vile, they are EVIL and they will use EVERY trick in the book. So, I'm not surprised by Kingston. As I've said before, I expected it!
