The following McCain comments glorifying and embracing the lunatic Pastor Parsley during a campaign rally in Cincinnati on February 26, 2008:

McCain called Reverend Rod Parsley "his spiritual advisor".

Pastor Parsley: "Islam is an anti christ religion that intends through violence to conquer the world."

McCain: "And I'm very honored today to have one of the truly great leaders of America, a moral compass, a spiritual guide, rev Rod Parsley who...(inaudible)"

Pastor Parsley: "The fact is America was founded, I am gonna stagger you right now, that america was founded in part with the intention to seeing this false religion destroyed. Mohammad received revelations from demon spirits, NOT from the living god."

John McCain has refused to renounce him or reject his endorsement.

Joh McCain has also refused to renounce him or reject the endorsement of John Hagee, a San Antonio pastor who said "there is a clear relationship between Adolf Hitler and the Roman Catholic Church in a conspiracy to exterminate the Jews." Hagee also said "The Catholic Church a "great whore and a false cult system". John McCain, when questioned on the Bill Bennett radio show on March 11, 2008, defended John Hagee and basically took Hagee at his word that his words were taken out of context.

John McCain hasn't said one word defending Reverend Wright's words, those two 10 second soundbites. Even though Reverend Wright spent 205,000 minutes preaching from the pulpit to his congregation the 'so-called liberal media' never once mentioned that Wright's words could have somehow been taken out of context and also refused to discuss just why the Reverend Wright felt as he did. Rev. Wright grew up during the time when black soldiers were experimented on by the US government when at least 399 black soldiers between 1932 and 1972 were deliberately given Syphilis to see what would happen to them. The government injected those Tuskegee soldiers with Syphilis and watched their minds rot, their bodies become covered with pustules, they went blind, and then they finally died horrendous deaths.

It was a time when blacks were routinely being hung by white racists. Blacks were not allowed to vote. They had no rights. They were forced to drink at a black's only fountain. They couldn't even sit in the front of a bus. Blacks were treated like lepers and condemned and ridiculed. What if white people had seen their race in uniform deliberately treated like lab rats as blacks were. How would white people react if they learned of 400 of their race were used as guinea pigs just to see what happened to their bodies after they died from Syphilis. What a horrendous death each of those 400 must have experienced. They spent years physically and mentally crippled until they finally died, even though the lives of some of them could have been spared with penicillin after the 1940s. If a white person had grown up in a black-dominated society and had been treated as the blacks were in this country, yes, the "United States of America", I doubt if even one white person wouldn't have anger for what was done to their race. But you will never see the media discuss anything at any length because all they care about is sensationalizing everything, because its far cheaper to run the same soundbites over and over again than to address the truth and go into the reasons for Reverend Wright's comments.

Were John Hagee and Rod Parsley persecuted while they were growing up? No, not at all, which makes their outrageous statements even more insane, but the media remains completely silent. If the media was truly 'liberal' then why hasn't there been one story to reveal the kinds of mentally unbalanced spiritual advisors McCain has?

Just as GW Bush embraced, endorsed and applauded everything Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson and James Dobson did to get the vote of the insane religious right fanatics. GW Bush lied when he said his favorite philosopher was "Jesus" just to get the vote of the ignorant and easily duped religious right freaks. It didn't matter to Robertson advocated the assassination of a foreign leader and said John Lennon was 'Satan'. Falwell said equally ridiculous and insane comments like saying one of the Teletubbies was 'gay' and Falwell tried to get his state's government to change the law so that children could be severely beaten by their parents, without restraint. James Dobson also advocated the severe beating of any child, regardless of their ages, without restraint. Dobson and Falwell were advocates of child abuse and the cycle of child abuse goes on for generations. All of the acts by GW Bush's spiritual advisors are apparently fine with 'right wing' fanatical Christians who support any republican candidate regardless of how inept, corrupt or evil he is. McCain is following in the tradition of the republican party of the last twenty years by also embracing the most insane crackpots in the right wing fanatical religious right. This is just one more example of how a McCain presidency will be just a continuation of the disastrous presidency of GW Bush.

Although the media went on a feeding frenzy after Reverend Wright's comments they have been completely silent about McCain's 'spiritual advisors' even though McCain has refused to condemn or renounce either Pastor Parsley or John Hagee.

The only way republican candidate can be so completely preposterous and even insane is because their flocks of republicans lap at every drop of drool that falls from their mouths like thirsty, cur dogs. It makes me wonder if there are any republicans 'out there' who are not illiterate, ignorant or just plain stupid. Why else would they be such dupes to the lies and propaganda their 'leaders' tell them? Trying to find an honest republican is like Diogenes looking for an honest man in ancient Athens. It's just not going to happen as long as republicans continue to put their corrupt and even evil political party above that of the United States, Americans, the Constitution and our Bill of Rights.

Hagee and Parsley are disgusting. They are misleading their congregations. It is tragic (though par for the course) that McCain compromises himself with these foolish people. So many religious leaders have fallen from the path of truth. It is part of our country's tragedy.

My biggest question is this: why isn't this kind of stuff (Hagee, Parsley, etc.) all over the news like the whole Wright thing is? If anything, this is way worse than Wright. Obama has said a BILLION times that he rejects Wright's statements and so on and so forth. But McCain won't reject these two idiots who are ten times worse than Wright (at least).

Is she kidding? Because Hagee has a big following McCain shouldn't repudiate him? I guess that's the best she can come up with because there is no justification, other than he'll lose votes if he speaks up against the "hate preacher".

I think it's terribly amusing that the fact that Rev. Wright's large congregation isn't a factor yet Hagee's is. And only attacking McCain is political.
