Mar. 12 - U.S. stocks were unable to build on the best rally in years amid doubt recent moves by the Federal Reserve would prevent a recession.
The Dow lost 46 points to 12,110. The S&P 500 shed 11 points to 1,308. The Nasdaq lost 11 points to 2,243. Crude oil set a record closing high of $109.92 a barrel.
