Obama's not going to have this wrapped up either. So the convention is where it's going. There's math there too. I'm not saying she's not behind. But it seems everyone's rational for her to leave is because "it will tear the party apart." This said by those who expect to do just that if they don't get their way.

Richardson may be a great guy but he's no more a prognosticator than any of the others who counted her out long before this. We're not sending emails to TPM because we don't bother reading him anymore. And I sure someone's informing him of this now.

Abrams take is that Richardson has been looking at the numbers and everything else and decided Obama is going to win. And thus made his choice of who to endorse. Abrams did say he didn't believe that was the only reason that he chose to endorse Obama. The point Abrams was making was that this is a guy with a lot of political insight and experience and that he (Richardson) is predicting an Obama win.

The guest also pointed out that Richardson had been very close to the Clintons and pointed out that other superdelegates with close connections have chosen Obama.

I am biased, but I think it is over. Matthews or someone on his show said if it was any one but Hillary the press would have called it over already. She will not win more delegates or more popular vote than Obama, Obama raises more money and has shown himself to be much better at organizing and running a campaign (brilliant actually)P, no other candidate brings out the crowds like he does, he has a strategy for winning that is not dependent on Florida, he does better with independents than Hillary, and he is more likely to get votes from moderate Republicans than Hillary. What would be the argument for replacing the candidate who is winning with the one that is losing? Whose husband never got 50% of the vote and who is less popular than her husband? Plus many candidates for congress believe they are more likely to win if Hillary is not the candidate.

There are not scads of superdelegates rushing to endorse Hillary. And I don't think they will.

At my office, I usually have MSNBC on in the background, though every now and then switching to CNN (Why is fTucker on MORE after his show has been cancelled?). Until yesterday, I was getting that feeling in my stomach that it was over for Obama, but something happened. I could tell a change in tone.

My only thought is that the media needs access. Once it becomes clear a candidate is going to be the winner, no need to piss them off. And remember, Obama iced Fox News early, and O'Reilly had to go beg for an interview.
