Mark Nickolas observed over at Political Base that John McCain hasn't worn an American flag lapel pin since securing the Republican presidential nomination on March 4. (Nickolas has the AP wire photos for proof!)
This comes on the heels of Charlie Gibson doing his best Sean Hannity impression at last night's debate, when he piggybacked on a question about the American flag, adding: "It's something of a theme that Senators Clinton and McCain's advisers agree could give you a major vulnerability if you're the candidate in November. How do you convince Democrats that this would not be a vulnerability?"
Now, I can't imagine that FOX News will suddenly start questioning McCain's patriotism because he doesn't wear a flag pin—that would mean an end to their hypocrisy on this non-issue. But if they did call out McCain, does that mean FOX's newest imitator ABC would as well?
I consider most Republicans as FLAGGOTS. A FLAGGOT: Someone who cares more about the RED, WHITE and BLUE than the lives of me and you.
When you vote for President you vote also for a party. Would you like a continuation of a Republiklan party FDA that killed thousands of people who took Vioxx and looked the other way?
That FDA also did not prevent the dirty meat from hitting the US market because the FDA does not have enough meat inspectors.
Would you want a continuation of the Republiklan party defense department that failed to defend America on Sept 11, 2001 and killed 1 million innocent Iraqis and who wasted the lives of 4,000 of our soldiers and who devastated about 100,000 injured US soldiers for an illegal oil war?
Would you want a Republiklan SEC that did not see that Enron, Worldcom and other companies would cheat their stockholders and employees who lost their pensions and stock portfolios? The Republiklan party encourages irresponsible capitalism instead of Responsible capitalism.
Would you want a continuation of the Republiklan party NASA which has forced 2 shuttle missions despite engineers heated warnings and killed 14 astronauts in the last 28 years?
Do you want a continuation of the Republiklan party FEMA that looked away while thousands of people died in the South?
Don't vote for McCain because our people will suffer under these agencies if people do vote for McCain.
While I consider elections important, we have a Republiklan party that appears insulated from the public and we need a new way to force the Republiklan party to stop the blocking of progressive legislation and I have a new way. Call and boycott Republiklan party major contributors and legally threaten their income by stop buying from them en masse and also call them to tell them we want progressive legislation passed or you will lose up to half your customer base.

Call Republican contributor Rite Aid Pharmacies at 800 325 3737 and tell the person that you want the Rite Aid CEO to get the congress and the President to enact HR 676 single payer universal health care and repeal Medicare Part D and place the drug benefit in Medicare Part B covering 80% of the cost of drugs with no extra premiums, no extra deductibles, no means tests, no coverage gaps, and remove the means test for Medicare Part B and until that happens, you won't buy ANYTHING from Rite Aid.
Call Republican contributor Wendy's restaurants at 614 764 3553 and tell the person in that you want their CEO to get the congress and the President to enact a $10/HR MIN. WAGE into law and until this happens you will not go to a Wendy's Restaurant.
Call your local Exxon/Mobil gas station and tell the manager that you will not get your car repaired there, nor will you buy gasoline there until their parent company sets their price so that they can sell you gasoline for $1.75 a gallon. Then only do business with other gas stations. We will no longer stand for $3 a gallon gasoline.
Call GOP contributor and war contractor General Electric Corporation at 800 386 1215 and tell the person, that you want the GE CEO to get Bush to end the war in Iraq and then Bush resign with Cheney and until that happens you will not buy any GE products and that you will tell your friends. Then call a local appliance store that sells GE products and tell the person you will not buy any GE products from their store until they can convince the GE CEO to convince George W Bush to end the war.
