On Wednesday May 9th a few of is went to the 2008 Defense Appropriations markup in the House Armed Services Committee. Once again, there was no room for us inside because they packed the supposedly "open hearing" with staff. So, we stood in the hallway and talked to representives as they went into the hearing. One of our CODEPINK women from Florida, Lydia Vicekrs, got a chance to chat with her own representative, Congressman Boyd (D-FL). In the end, we sang a little ditty based on "Get Us Out of This War Game", then we left to go over to a Senate hearing.
