Hate to nitpick, but the phrase "illegal immigration" just grates. It's not particularly accurate, either, since many immigrants fall out of lawful status after entering with a valid visa. Other longtime permanent residents have "illegal" status thrust on them by increasingly restrictive laws that change the immigration consequences of long-forgotten convictions retroactively. Immigration is a complex issue that bumper-sticker slogans don't do justice to. One easy thing to do is challenge restrictionist language by using words that don't mislead and demean.
