I have not read Sen. Hagel's book, so he may have addressed this issue in it, even though I didn't hear him refer to it in this interview.
The issue? The influence that AIPAC has on our national legislative process and on our foreign policy-making coming out of the executive branch. No discussion of US foreign policy in the ME can be made w/o recognizing the big white rabbit sitting over in the corner of the room, AIPAC.
