I've posted a review of Nader's speech in Portland on 13 May at my website. I invite you to review and banter with me.

We all need to issue a call for open debates. We will impoverish ourselves by not demanding a clash of ideas.

I'm glad Nader is acting to get in debates. That needs to happen. But at the Portland lecture he talked too long more than 60 minutes. When he finally asked people to come to the microphone and make community announcements I did so. I was berated when I told a short story about how anyone can run for office and win and connected that to Joe Walsh here in Portland. I was rudely told by Nader volunteers: "you have to ask a question". Later Nader reminded people that the 1st amendment means you let others speak even when you don't agree. I spoke at most 2-3 minutes. The other folks at the mic asked questions and Ralph answered with a 2-5 minute lecture per person. Do we want more questions, more lectures, or people who will act. Join me and volunteer to help Joe Walsh defeat Earl Blumenauer, or help Nader, but do something.

Thank you Ralph! It was great to have you in Portland this evening. Keep on fighting the good fight. And Google, please find a way to get Nader on the stage for a debate with the mainstream media candidates.

Ralph has beem representing the well being of most Americans for 40 plus years now with no weekends off. Most Americans agree with what he says and believes. It is unfortunate for this country that he can't get past 1st base in breaking the mold of the two party system in running for President.
