One of my female friends that I have known for many years on and off, told me that she had a terrible problem in Appalachian schools as her mother was african american and her father was white. She said that she was told she was neither black or white, and was shunned. It is my premise that she is both. I have trouble wrapping my mind around this issue. It reminds me of Nazi Germany when Hitler and his accomplices judged people by racial physical characteristics.
As we now live in a society that spies on people with data bases, hidden cameras, the accepts foreign nationals who enter our country by illegal means, I can't imagine that someone who appears to be as intelligent as you would give airtime to racists. Like you, I am blonde and blue eyed, and have a real geneological tree, unlike the Bush family, or Hitler, who created a family history. By the way, Poppy's daddy Prescott sold American resources to Hitler in 1942, when he was an American representative, starting the family fortune. Check out http//www.tarpley.net/bush2.htm You might say that what Grandpa Bush did was not "W"s fault, but I am sure you will agree that "W", former? coke addict, 2 dui's. 2.5 grade average, barely literate, dodged pilot school, would not have become a governor or a president without Grandpa's ill-gotten gains from war. War has been extremely profitable for this family...the basis of their family values.
Best wishes for your ongoing debate, whether or not we agree.
