In and upcoming episode of This Brave Nation, Executive Director of Green for All, Van Jones says that climate change is like this generation's Vietnam.  Judging from the nominations that deal with the environment and sustainability, he might be right.

Jiten Ruparel nominated Whitney Prose:

Whitney Prose is the founder and driver of Plan-It Earth: a student led movement to clean up the environment. She has introduced recycling and all manner of sustainabilty practices to our Otterbein College campus and the City of Westerville. She has formed teams to clean up the local lakes and rivers and pioneered 'green dorms'. She is self effacing. She is an unsung hero.
