I dunno, isn't it about the context. If its in humor - OK, if its meant in a vicious way - unacceptable.
All cultures are different and I am not American.
I think some words are more offensive to some than others ... e.g there are words that mean nothing in the U.S but are very-'VERY' bad over here. I don't even want to type them even though they mean nothing to you just in case anyone in the U.K is offended.

I'm with goodgirlroxie on this. I can't stand Clinton, but Beck and his ilk make me sick with their sexist garbage. They use Clinton as an excuse to indulge in woman-hating. Clinton is the "site" on which this indulgence is played out, but it goes far beyond her. And it is very disturbing.

Some of us are finally questioning our coarseness as a society. Too many in our media sound like a herd of barbarians. My child is not permitted to speak like that. We do not speak like that in our work.

Why on earth has it become so OK to speak like that on TV and radio?
