Three months prior to this segment, the Pentagon claimed that they had absolute "proof" that Iran was supplying weapons to Iraqi insurgents. Within two weeks, various media outlets cast doubt on this assertion, forcing the military to back down on their claims and admit they had no real proof.

Despite this, Cavuto and Miniter repeated the debunked information as though it was true, thus engaging in pure propaganda.
